Executive burnout is real.
Let me help.

According to the recent Deloitte survey, "73% of C-Suite reported that they aren’t able to take time off and disconnect. One out of four Executives said they don’t disconnect because their workload would be unmanageable when they return (25%), and they’re afraid they would miss out on important messages or emails (24%)".

If you're already working 60-80+ hours per week, contributing even longer hours may not be the right answer to efficiency and productivity. However, you wouldn't be an Executive if you didn't know the importance of delegation. We all know that the tricky thing here is to find the right person to delegate things to, especially when it comes to managing something as important as the flow of and access to your time.

You hire teams of highly educated and experienced people to manage the financial health of your company, to ensure that it stays in legal compliance, operates efficiently, and that your employees thrive and deliver state-of-the-art products or services. But who do you hire to help with managing the only unreplenishable asset you have as both, an Executive and a human being? Who fits the job description of someone who is able to multiply your productive outputs while minimizing your time inputs? A high-quality Executive Assistant may be the right answer you're looking for.

Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, strategic thinking and analysis, relationship building, problem solving, resourcefulness, and communication are my core values & soft skills.

My name is Olga McConnell, and I am a C-Suite Executive Assistant with 12+ years of professional experience. I hold a BA and an MA in English Linguistics from Orenburg State University, and a Master of Business Administration, General Management, from California Miramar University. In addition to that, I have taken extensive coursework in Project Management at the University of California, San Diego. With my expertise in a wide range of areas, including administrative support, project management, and communication, I can help take your business to the next level. Whether you need help with scheduling, organizing, or managing important projects, I am here to provide the high-quality assistance you need to succeed.

My professional journey includes experience in both, private industry and academia. I dedicated almost 6 years to working at the University of California, San Diego, supporting the Directors of the Design Lab - the largest interdisciplinary lab in the organization. Among the most prominent Executives I supported was Don Norman: one of the founding fathers of Cognitive Science and UX Design, a former VP at Apple, Inc., a member of the National Academy of Engineering, an IDEO fellow, and a co-founder of Nielsen Norman Group, Inc. Don is now retired and is a distinguished Professor Emeritus at several universities, including UC San Diego, and a Founding Director Emeritus of UC San Diego Design Lab. Don has served on multiple advisory boards for large NGOs and publicly-traded companies.

I believe that building a relationship of trust between an Executive Assistant and their Executive is one of the most important aspects of this role. By learning more about the Executive's preferences, needs, as well as overall strategic goals of the organization, I am able to tailor my skills to provide high-level Executive Support and perform a wide variety of administrative and project management duties. Many of the techniques and methods I use, especially those that Don has helped me perfect or taught me, are based on knowledge of Cognitive Science, Psychology, and Human-Centered Design; with the focus on helping maximize the Executive's efficiency, productivity, and time, while always remaining exceptionally customer-service oriented with all the stakeholders involved.
